Meet Chef Chris

Chris Hamilton’s love of cooking stems from his childhood when he spent endless hours in the kitchen with his mom. His passion for cooking led him to Emerson School of Hospitality from where he received his culinary degree. Chris has been sharing the joy of good cooking and making delicious meals for 20 years.

His favorites remain those of his childhood memories. He is most fond of Southern and Soul food, like macaroni and cheese with fried chicken, and Italian dishes, such as Lasagna and Chicken Parmesan.

Chris joined FONP in 2017 and later led the FONP initiative program at the Matt Urban Hope Center in 2020. Today, he is thrilled to be part of the opening of FONP’s Feed716 kitchen on Sears Street where he is leading the meal program.

“Feed716 is more than just a soup kitchen. We serve good food and everyone is friendly,” Chris says of the new Feed716 program. “We’ll feed anyone who comes in hungry, regardless of their circumstances.”

If you are thinking about helping out at FONP, Chris invites you to volunteer at Feed716 and experience the joy of giving back.
